Can anyone suggest a good nail repair glue?

I’ve been using nail repair glue but as soon as I put my hands in water my nails split again. I want something more stronger so that split nails stay bonded. I don’t want to go down the ‘false nails’ route – just want a durable glue. Would appreciate some knowledgeable suggestions.
